Queen’s birthday
On 30th April the whole
of the Netherlands is coloured orange.
Queen Beatrix decided to keep this day, her late mother’s
birthday, as the official day to celebrate her birthday and
the monarchy. 30th April is a bank holiday in
the Netherlands.
Members of DAG try to get together on a date convenient to
all and close to 30th April and the colour orange plays a
big part in their getting together.
